I. Purpose of establishment and introduction:
Alumni of the 18th edition, Professor Chih-Ming Chen has founded Allegenesis Biotherapeutics Inc, TWi Biotechnology Inc and USA Gerbera Therapeutics Inc Taiwan Branch. At the same time, he has also founded XinChen Foundation, for the purpose of contribute feedback to society and alma mater. In order to encourage the participation of outstanding master’s student into Graduate School of Pharmacy, devoting themselves to research job and elevating the quality of academic research, the XinChen Foundation Scholarship and Grant for Students of Department of Pharmacy, National Taiwan University has been founded.
II. Award target and period of application:
(A) Only for first year and second year doctoral student of School of Pharmacy, National Taiwan University.
(B) Application open once in every year; those meet the conditions please attached application material and submit their application before the end of April. After the review process the material will send to XinChen Foundation.
III. Amount of incentive:
The incentives will distribute in a chosen date after the review process, NTD 40,000 for first year doctoral student every academic year, NTD 20,000 for second year doctoral student every academic year.
IV. Materials for application:
Application form and report (written in Chinese or English). The content should include summary, background, goal, method and procedure, result and reference, should not be more than five pages.
Applicants should ready all the material in a comprehensive manner and submit to the college for review.
V. Review:
Upon reviewing the material and qualification of applicant and arrive at a decision, college review committee will inform XinChen Foundation with letter and awarded individual as well.
VI. Awarded student should assist the department in conducting research and teaching related activities.
VII. This regulation shall come into force on the day of its promulgation, upon the approval of College Affairs Committee.
